Black Rice : Forbidden Black rice is deep purple in colour because of its high anthocyanin content. Black rice is high in nutritional value and contains 18 amino acids, iron, zinc, copper, and various important vitamins. It is also high in antioxidants and fiber but low on its sugar content or glycemic index (~42). It is claimed to be good for kidney, stomach and liver. Black rice is proclaimed as a 'Superfood' worldwide. Chak hao, the medium grain aromatic variety of Black rice is a GI (Geographical Indication) crop of Manipur, India.

Himalayan Red Rice: Himalayan red rice is a variety of rice grown primarily in the Himalayan mountain ranges of Northeast India. This variety is indigenous to the Kingdom of Bhutan and Assam, India. It is red in colour due to the presence of Anthocyanins, a plant based flavanoid. The rice is high in antioxidants and iron content and has a nutty flavour. Red rice is widely used in Ayurvedic treatment, and is known to help balance the Tridosha.
Red Bao Rice : Red Bao rice is a speciality superfood wild-rice with low glycemic index, grown exclusively in the Brahmaputra River valley of Assam. It is a deep water rice (DWR), and growns only in the flood plains of Assam, during the Monsoon season. It grows only in the low-lying areas, and has endurance for water depth of over 100cm. The stem of the rice plant elongates during monsoon season, staying above the surface of water, and receeds when the water is low.
Aromatic Joha Rice : Aromatic Joha Rice is a GI (Geographical Indication) product of Assam. The grain size varies from medium to small, although long grain variety is also available. This variety of rice is indigenous, and cultivated primarily in Assam, India. Joha rice is rich in antioxidants and flavanoids and its delicate and distinctive aroma is due to the presence of phenolic substances. Comparatively, it tastes better than Sona Masoori and has an aroma more pleasant than Basmati. We have over 300 ha. under organic cultivation of Joha rice in Assam. Joha Rice variety available with us are: Kunkuni Joha (small grain); Tulsi or Kali Joha (medium grain) and Koni Joha.
Sticky Bora Rice : Bora rice is a glutinous variety of rice from Assam. It is a medium grain rice, with kernal having Red and White colour. It has a high starch content, thus making it glutinous or sticky. Bora rice can be cooked as a sticky rice, or the rice flour can be used to make many Asian rice based cuisines including rice noodles, rice cakes, in preparation of Sushi, alcoholic-beverages, etc.
Magic Komal Rice : Komal saul or Soft Rice or Magic rice is a special variety of rice from Assam that doesn't require cooking. It just requires soaking for 10-15 minutes in warm water or milk. Komal rice is an excellent baby food.
